Guys it has been a rough day. Our brother Andrew was admitted to the ICU today and to be honest we really don't know what is wrong with him. He has had a very upset stomach the past couple of days and said last night that he just didn't feel right. At 1 AM Paul and his nurse Mike brought him to St. D's and they started him on fluids and antibiotics. His labs were a bit out of whack but he seemes to be doing fine. We brought the kids up to see him around lunch and left. I got a call during work to get over there right away because he wasn't doing very good and when I got there Andrew was somewhat incoherent but stable. That is where he has been since about 2 o'clock. There have been lots of tests, scans and labs drawn today but nothing with a definative answer to his condition. We are waiting on some results and should know more tomorrow.
The first thing we would like to say is THANK YOU to everyone who has called, emailed, texted and most importantly prayed over us today. Words can't express how these things have lifted us up a little closer to our Lord. Please continue to pray for Andrew, my Mom and Dad, and my brothers and their wives. We don't know what tomorrow will bring but do know that God is in control and has us in His grip. We can't lose no matter what happens because we either have more time with Andrew or he gets to play a round of catch with Christ in paradise.
I read in James this morning, "To consider it pure joy ..... whenever you face trials of may kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverence" , I had no idea that I would have to apply it so quickly. I am struggling finding the joy in this but I am trying. Please continue to pray for us and we will keep everyone posted on Andrew's progress.
