Nashville

Wow What A Weekend!! First of all, let me say that God is so FAITHFUL!!! Secondly, I have the most amazing man in the world!! And last, it feels so good to accomplish something you work so hard for, for many, many months.

David and I headed up to Nashville on Friday and made it just in time to receive our packets....along with the other 32,000 people! We ate a quick "pasta" dinner with the Burchfields and headed for bed. (If I never eat pasta again, it will be too soon!) We were up at 5am to prepare for the race and we walked to the starting line from our hotel. We didn't begin until @ 7:40am due to the many corrals, but that just gave us plenty of times to head to the port-a-potties! (And YUK, may I add) Anywho.....we began running at a good pace and the first few miles went by pretty quickly. The weather was great and the hills were not too bad. The energy was so strong and there were soooo many people cheering us on from the sidelines and a few country bands along the way also. About mile 7, everthing started changing. I have this muscle that gives me trouble and I just couldn't shake it. I told DAvid to leaved me and go ahead...I was totally holding him up! He would not budge and was determined to stick with me until the end, encouraging me the whole time! At mile 8, we passed a church and their choir was out singing praise songs....what a total God send! (since I didn't have my Nanno with me that plays nothing but praise songs.) It inspired me and I kept going! At mile 11, we hit a pretty LONG hill, that I thought would never end and at this point my legs were so heavy and the muscle was not letting up. We got to the top of the hill and guess who God put in my path.....none other than my precious friend Jeanine ( if you haven't read her blog yet, you need to go to it!) I just started crying when I saw her and I knew God had placed her there in that specific spot and I needed that at that perfect moment! David and I finished strong and he grabbed my hand at the end and we crossed the finish line together! YEAHHHHH!!! I can not even begin to explain the feeling! My first thoughts were "Wow, God had already marked out the spots along the way where I would need encouragement and placed people there. And Wow, is my man GREAT!?!?! He probably could have finished in under 2 hours, but that precious man never left me!

Anyway, I was proud of Christy Burchfield who finished and never quit~even with a bummed leg! She is one tough cookie. And Toby ran like the Kenyans!

We spent the night with the Joyners last night and had an awesome time! Those children are sooooo precious! What a blessing it is to come together after 2 YEARS and catch right back up where we left off! It was like distance had never separated us!

So the big question now is.....when is the next one? Yes, they are quite addictive! (I never thought I would say that) We are thinking of the Memphis Marathon in December and definately Nashville again next year! Probably a few 5k's along the way. I'm hoping many of you will get the RUNNING BUG and join me.

Are we crazy??????

I can't tell you how many times I heard that one morning when it was about 30 degrees outside and we were out training for this race. No joke we had to get off the sidewalk because of the ice that had formed on it. I can't begin to tell you how proud I am of my wife and her dedication to this. She put her mind to it and she is going to do it. Kudos to Stacy. You are awesome.

The time has come for our longest run of our young running careers. We will be leaving tomorrow for the Country Music Marathon in Nashville. The race is on Saturday. Please keep us in your prayers as we travel and during the race itself. Also please remember our babies, Bryant and Mary Grace, as they spend the weekend with their "faux" family, the Psonaks. It should be a great weekend to spend with one another and with our dear friends, Toby and Christy Burchfield. God Bless.

Destin

We had a great time at the Beach this weekend. We left on Wednesday and came back on yesterday. We even got to spend Thursday with Pete and Gina (kiddos, too!) on their last day in Destin. Bryant and 'Abana' had a blast playing all day and Mary Grace hung right there with them! David and I spent the next few days just soakin' up the sun while thoroughly enjoying our kiddos. Their ages are so fun!! Even the drive down there was great and full of quality time....which most of you know is Totally my love language! What a fun long weekend away! Posted by Picasa

What a glorious day!

Easter Morning at the Seago home...(Daddy didn't make it in these photos...he was the one behind the camera!) What a blessing it is to celebrate the Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ! Our pastor spoke of Heaven and what a glorious place it will be! As my dear friend, Vicki Banta, once said...."I hope our mansions in heaven are right next door!" I feel that way about many of you! I pray you will all feel his glory during this special time!!

Bryant's Egg Hunt

Today was Bryant's Party.
Thank you to Cori Honea for hosting it....it was a blast! Even Boppie came!!

My Friend Sha

Okay....so I have this friend named Sha and if you don't know her...You Must Know Her! She is amazing and is such an inspiration in my life! She recently lost her mother and her faith and peace has just grown in abundance! Of course she cries and has sad days, but her hope is in Christ and her outlook is incredible! I just pray that in my trials in life I can handle them with such grace! Here are some pictures from her birthday "girl's night out" last week. Mary Katherine had a great idea to get her a 'box' filled with cards in which we all wrote scriptures, quotes, personal letters, etc. We love you Sha...I even hear she may be getting a blog soon!!
