Quiet time with the Lord

I had a wonderful quiet time this morning with the Lord. I wanted to wake up early to get knowledge from him before this day began for a few reasons...a little discipline action with Bryant (taking something home from swimming lessons that were not his and not telling the truth about it), my grandmother's colonoscopy this morning, and my Dad's apt. with his physicians at 3pm to determine a plan of action (it has been moved, it was Friday). With all of these heavy on my heart, my precious friend Claire Mayatte sent me an email last night telling me that she had been praying for me and God had led her to a verse...about keeping faith not in men but in God alone! So, this morning I had a WHOLE hour with my Father before the kiddos woke up (which does not happen a lot around my house). He brought me to two verses...
"I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us." Romans 8:18
"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, and who are called according to his purpose." Romans 8:28
What a blessing these were to me as I face the day ahead and the many decisions to be made. I truly feel his bubble of peace which surpasses all understanding!

Oh Stacy, I am so glad you had that time with Him this morning. You and your family are so heavy on my heart this morning (obviously, I checked your blog first thing!). Keep reading Romans girl, it is FULL of comforting knowledge and assurance. Know that we love all of you so much and are lifting y'all up several times a day.

I just read your last two posts...what a beautiful thing when God meets us early and gives us what we need before we have even asked. And...regarding God loving you a LOT to give you those two precious kiddos....sweet friend I have no doubt that He loves you more than you could ever imagine! ;)

Praying for you!
