Alison & I went in to New Albany on Friday to surprise Mom for her retirement party ~ WooHoo! We are very excited she is retiring! She stayed home with us when we were little and then went back to teach when I was in Kindergarten (and was actually my Kindergarten teacher!) All of her sweet friends, faculty, present & past students, and family came to help celebrate with her. Many of the students could not even speak without crying! She meant so much to soooo many and they all adored her for being their "role mode", "friend", & "confidant", as they said. Many of her students sang to her (since she is the music teacher) and 'Paid In Full' sang also. It was so special and I was so proud to call her MY MOMA! What an amazing woman she is.....What an amazing teacher, wife, daughter, mother, friend, and the list could go on and on, but one of the most amazing roles my mother plays is BOPPIE! Our kiddos love this woman more than life itself! So thank you Boppie for being so amazing.....What huge shoes we have to fill!
