my boys hunting trip

My boys went hunting last Friday night and Saturday and had a blast!  (Thank you Stephen Greer for inviting them)  Before they left, David gave Bryant his 1st gun: Red Rider BB gun!  They practiced on our patio out back....trying to hit the garbage can....
You should have seen his face when he shot the garbage can~ priceless!
I got the most precious phone call that night....."Mom, Mom, I killed an armadillo!!!"  You would have thought it was an 8 point deer!

Normal

What is normal?
Have you ever thought about that?
Has the rug ever been pulled from beneath you and all you craved was "normal"?
I've been thinking lately about 'normal'....about what God's will for our life is with 'normal'.
We are but sojourners on this earth, we are not to be too comfortable, we are Heaven Bound.....yet we crave 'normal life'?
Normal Life to me is my family~ under one roof,  pitter patter upstairs, laughter all around me. That is what I crave more than anything....not a fancy car, not a big house, not a fabulous vacation, or even a shopping spree.  I crave my family!
I am so thankful that we are now under one roof!  Even though not every day is sunshine in the Seago house.  We are a family and we will put one foot in front of the other and face each day as warriors for Christ.

another scare

Well, we had another scare yesterday.....David started running 103.8 fever and I rushed him to the Emergency Room.  They kept him over night and ran lots of tests.  The fear was an infection in his blood or in the wound itself from Friday's surgery.  But thankfully, both looked normal and we broke out into hives last night in the hospital....allergic reaction to a med.  Not sure which one yet, but at least is was a reaction to something and not an infection.

We just arrived home and are sooooo thankful to be here.  Now we just need normalcy! (whatever that is.....maybe we'll find it, probably around the time #3 arrives)

David's accident

So....here we are!  Yes, Daddy is ALIVE, batman lives, and Cinderella exits everyday in our home!   What a roller coast of events in the past 2 weeks, but we have lived through it and give God all the GLory for it!
Most of you know the story, but for those of you who do not know, I'll give the short version.

Last Sunday, Oct. 19th, David served communion at church, went to Bryant's baseball game, then went on a bike ride with 2 of his buddies.  He was on his way home around 5 pm when a lady, who was looking at her cell phone, came into the bike lane and hit him head on.  He busted her windshield, then was thrown into the guard rail, which separates the road from the Reservoir water.  When I arrived on the scene (only about 5 miles from our home), David was under the guard rail, unconscious.....but would come to every few minutes.  I road with him in the ambulance and his precious brothers met me in the ER.....his parents were out of town.   The ER docs thought for sure his spine/vertebra were damaged and a major neck injury.  None of the above!  Then they thought for sure the CT would show major head trama....none!   Thank goodness for his helmet: crushed, but it saved his life.  The major injury was his right arm (yes, his surgery arm/hand).  He broke both bones in the arm and 3 in the hand.  He had major skin damage and tissue damage.  He was rushed into surgery with the best team and stayed there 4 1/2 hours.  My precious church family, friends, & David's brothers never left my side.  We had the most unbelievable circle of prayer in the ER and the ICU waiting room.  God was so present and gave me such peace during those hours.  It truly amazing me how the body of Christ reacts in a situation like that.....no hesitation~ just came to stand in the gap for my man and lift him up!! It was beautiful.....about 30-40 people there.

David came out of surgery and headed to ICU for a day and a half.  They were really watching for internal bleeding and kidneys.   Then he stayed on the floor until Thursday afternoon.  We are home now, with lots of drugs.....pic line with antibiotics twice daily for 2 hours.  He goes in tomorrow morning for another surgery ~ 5:45am.

We are just sooooo thankful God spared his life!  He is literally a walking miracle.  The doctors say it could be up to 6 months before his fine motor skills return, but we believe in a Mighty God who heals and who heals completely!!!

We covet the prayers, cards, visits, meals, emails, texts, etc.....We feel so loved and blessed during this time.  We are just taking it one day at a time (especially the prego ~ 6 months pregnant one!).  Our parents have been incredible and have helped us tremendously with the children.  My parents have kept a normal routine for the kids and mom has been here for 2 weeks, bless her.  We could not have done it without them nor our friends.

Thank you for your prayers....we truly appreciate them.  We have a long journey ahead, but we are girding up!

Mary Grace's 3rd Birthday

Mary Grace's 3rd Birthday .....

She got a beautiful new dollhouse~ where the toilet flushes, the vanity lights up, & the piano plays.....even an elevator!
Tea Party Time....Girls Only

Gracie Goose loves life and loves candles!  She blew out 3 glitter hearts.

2 of her best little friends ~ Alex Guilde & Sarah Grace Broocks

What a fun day it was!  Little girl parties are so quiet and sweet....no one could get over it!  All 8 little girls even literally played with the tea sets on their tables for at least 30min I know.  We continued her day with carving pumpkins & strawberry birthday cake (Boppie tradition since I was a little girl) which included the boys!  Such a perfect day!

Mary Grace

Big Brother Bryant with his baby sister.....soon to know NO life without her!
Mary Grace - just a few hours old....check out the cheeks!
Proud Daddy of his little girl.  Coming out to show her off to the waiting room.
The first kiss from Bubba
Sweet Mary Grace ~ full of grace and lots of JOY!  God brought her into the world Oct. 18th, 3 years ago tomorrow and our lives have never seen such laughter and enjoyment!  She is bright sunshine that glows throughout the house.....draws people to herself and knows how to make people feel special.  She goes to bed with a smile on her face and wakes up glowing.  She loves with ALL of her heart and we earnestly pray she will grow to love Jesus Christ with all her heart, with all her soul, and with all her mind!  God has great things in store for this bundle of spunk and we look forward to seeing His chapters in her life unfold.  Thank you Lord for bringing Mary Grace Seago into our lives!  Help us show Your love to her and raise her in a way that is pleasing to you.

Bryant's Swim Meet

Well, Dave is home and we are all trying to get back to a 'new' normal.  Loving Columbus Day and no school~ still in pjs at noon!  Cleaning up from  the weekend and doing laundry.

I had one of those moments as a mother on Saturday....you know the ones that make your heart swell up and cause tears in your eyes?  When you are so proud someone you could just shout from the rooftops?  Well, I had those moments on Saturday.  Bryant had his first Sunkist Swim Meet ~ got there at 7:15am and left around 1:00pm.  He did so good and we were soooo proud of him.  We signed him up due to his asthma, but he has done so well and his little competitive spirit (which we've never seen, even on the baseball field) came shining through.  He placed in three events:   came in 1st in the butterfly heat, 2nd in the freestyle, and 2nd in the breaststroke.  My parents were there to cheer him on and I'm not sure he'll ever be able to do another swim meet without my dad there: his confidence level was great as long as Papa was there with him.  My mother has better pictures on her camera we'll get from her, but here is what I have: (see below for story on David's return)

My little fish!!!!!
So David's flight came in around 11:20, so Mary Grace and I rushed to the airport, grabbed David ( more like kidnapped ) and ran back to the swim meet.....thanks to John Cross for getting David's bag!  I was trying SO hard to get David back for Bryant's last swim: the relay!  And he MADE IT!!  I was so excited and as you can see, so was Bryant....he was so surprised to see his Daddy!!  He thought we were going to get him after he was done.  We didn't want to tell him in case David's plane was late, didn't want him to be disapointed.....and needless to say, he was not!
I stood back and grabbed a camera and got these sweet pictures of David and Bryant~ so glad I did......Check out my parents' faces!  So priceless!  It was such a sweet moment!!! The kids couldn't seem to get enough of their Daddy!!

My sister even came in to share in the joy of getting spoiled!  We had a great time together.....here are pictures from the week:

Girl's Picnic

Mary Grace loves her friend Sarah Grace~ such sweet girls!  Ashley invited Mary Grace over Friday to play & her are pics from their picnic.

So I've taken lots of pictures lately trying to catch up....just sat down to try to get my blog a new facelift, and realized David took the camera to Mexico.  Sooooo no new pics for now, but thing are going great.  David left on his mission trip today and will return next Saturday.  Bryant has his first tball game tomorrow and first swim meet next Saturday. He has learned to dive and is quite good at the free style!  Mary Grace LOVES dance and I am beginning to think she born to be a performer.  Surprise, Surprise! My parents and my sister are coming Wednesday to keep us company~ can't wait.

Seagos are back

We are back!!   We moved in Labor Day Weekend, left  for the mountains (gone 10 days), and been without the internet 3 weeks!!!  Life has been a little crazy, but now things are slowing down and I'm so thankful!  We are homebound for a while (except when Dave leads the Mexico mission trip in a few weeks), and trying to find a 'new' normal.  The house is great, such a blessing, and I feel much better ~ still not finding out sex of baby, but growing by leaps and bounds!
I have many, many pics to upload, now that internet is working.....so stay in touch!  I promise to do better!

Seago update

Ya'll are going to have to forgive me for slackn' on my Blog....  I have to admit something.....
I am an addict!  I am addicted to Facebook!   But don't knock it until you try it....I have gotten in touch with people that I have not seen in 15 years.  College friends from far away!  And even chatted with many of them to catch up.  I tell ya, the world IS a small place!
So....update on the Seagos.....
We are moving Friday (just down the road) to a beautiful neighborhood called Arbor Landing.  We feel so blessed that God has given us this home and can't wait for our friends & our family to  come out to visit!  Bryant LOVES kindergarten !  He has started the swim team "Sunkist" and is thriving!  His asthma doctor and ENT both recommended it and it has been great!  (busy, but great)  Mary Grace goes 2 mornings a week to church MDO and loves it.  She starts dance/ ballet in 2 weeks and loves pretending with her tap shoes around the house.
Baby #3 is great...growing everyday.  Still not finding out.....but it will be a blessed day when we know!
More to come later........

Fancy Nancy Party

Mary Grace went to the CUTEST birthday party on Saturday...a Fancy Nancy Party.  She had to dress up as 'fancy' as she could.....very girly!

There was red carpet for them to enter in on......
They pulled strings from the princess pinata......
Watched Alex blow out her candles.....
And even had story time from none other than.....Suzanne's mom....Ms. Becky!
It was the cutest thing.  If you don't have the book, Fancy Nancy, you've got to get it for your little girl!

Kindergarten

Bryant starts Kindergarten!  We are SO blessed to have Mrs. June Goff as his teacher at PCS.  We went on Wednesday to visit his room and he started on Thursday.  I have to be honest....I had a really hard time with it, but he did great and said "It was the best day EVER!"

Mary Grace got to play with Mary Bratton & Beau Beau while I took Bryant to visit his room.  She loves playing in Mary Bratton's big girl room.  If you look closely you can see all the beads around her neck and she has a glow of glitter on her face.
Thanks Nea Nea for trading out with me.

MS Children's Museum

 The MISSISSIPPI CHILDREN'S MUSEUM

Last Friday, our family attended to ground breaking of the Children's Museum here is Mississippi.  The architects tell us this should be one of the top 5 museums in the Country! (not state, not just USA, but Country!)  I am so excited about this HUGE project and I've had the opportunity to help raise awareness around the state for it in the last couple of years.  We loved the one in Houston, TX and what a blessing to have one right here in our own backyard!  To check out all the 'cool' exhibits, visit: www.mississippichildrensmuseum.com

The ground breaking ceremony at LeFleur's Bluff near the Science Museum.
My little man checking out the sight from afar (wearing his hard hat).

Bryant and Mary Grace shoveling sand from the ceremony.  It was so incredible to watch them and one day they will be able to experience all the wonders of the museum.  Hopefully their grandchildren will benefit from this also!

Catching up

We've had a crazy busy last few weeks.....one last trip to the beach, starting out with friends, then my sister & parents coming, and then David coming coming at the tale end of the trip.  It was a nice vacation, but ready to come back and tackle 'real life'.

I have loved catching up with lots of you: but unfortunately no pics were taken:  Emily...where was our camera when Bryant lost part of his surgery piece? Thought Stephen was going to die! , Claire.....too busy holding that precious baby, and Jennifer......who knows, but the kids had a blast!!!, and Suzanne....just trying to dodge the rain storm!

Anyway, here are some of the  pics from the last few weeks.  I have slacked on my blogging and I'm just going to blame that one on pregnancy brain!  Ask David, I've had lots of those moments: locking the only key I have in my car (110' weather), going to wrong location for baby shower, miscalculating measurements for pecan pie, and the list goes on and on!!
Anywho.......

Mary Grace just loves my sister and clinged to her all week!  She said when we got home that she LOVED Parker's Momma and that she wished Parker's Momma was her Momma!
MG, me, & David....lots of seaweed this time in Destin, so Bryant skipped out on the beach and went with Papa to the pool.
Me, Christy, & Brandy.....how the trip started with us and the oldest children....sweet friends!
Parker would crash at the sound of the waves!!!  Thought this was a sweet pic of the 2 of them!

All 3 cousins loved to wrestle.  They are all so sweet to each other....hope it stays that way!
We attempted beach pics for my Mother's Christmas card, but to no such luck.  I just loved this picture of Boppie & MG on the beach....she adores her Boppie!! Can you tell?
This was last weekend at River Hills after lunch....stomping in the water!
Lazy Summer mornings!  Love this picture....it was storming and Mary Grace is terrified of storms, so Bryant said "let's go get our pillows, Grace, and you can lay right beside me! Don't worry, I'm here!"
Surgery #2 for Bryant:  last week!  He did great and even got special treatment for the second go around!!!  Uncle Paul brought him an ice cream cake that we ALL enjoyed!
We had Bryant's get-together for his kindergarten class last Thursday at the pool.  His teacher is wonderful~ Mrs. June Goff.  I've been praying for him to have her for 3 years, she is dear to my heart!!
Another picture of my kiddos 'dancing' in the rain last Sunday.....isn't is great to be a kid: no worries!

David did a triathlon at the Neshoba County Fair and he did great!  Beat his time by I think 15 min. from last year.  It was super hot, but we were able to see him along the path, as we drove to the end of the race: the Fair.  They started at Lake Tiakhata.
Kiddos hugging DAddy at the finish line!
We camped the whole weekend of the race in the Silver Bullet!  They absolutey LOVE it!  As for me, I hung in there pretty good as long as I had air!  This pic was taken Saturday when we let the kids stay up late and watch a sweet movie and we all cuddled up (well except Mary Grace, who could hardly contain herself due to the excitement of the moment!!)

So that's a run down of our last few weeks, does that make you tired?? Yeah, me too!  School starts for Bryant next Thursday, so we are going to try to have a few more lazy mornings!!

Love you all....thanks for my sweet votes of confidence with Baby #3!
