Lots of quality time.....
and FUN time!
'The girls' on Saturday": Sha, Christy, me, and Nea.
I don't know if you can tell or not, but Bryant is 'helping' Mary Grace fish.  I didn't even have to ask him to help her...he offered and she loved her big brother coming to her rescue with the Barbie fishing pole.

Spunky little 2 year old

Mary Grace Seago
Here is our little MG, yes, full of spunk, full of life, everyday is a day at Disney World! Well, she's been getting in 'trouble' at MDO for singing during naptime. And as many of you moms would, I debating whether to really punish her for this! I mean, she sings from the moment she wakes up til the moment she goes to bed. That is what she does lying in her own bed, much less on a mat at Mother's Day Out. It's not out of spite or disobedience....that is just her! Her spirit is so full of life and she does not have a mean bone in her body. Well, yesterday when I picked her up, I was told the same story I've been told for 2 weeks now: about how she won't be quite and stop singing, while some around her are taking a nap. They said she kept singing "Deep 'n Wide", which her Daddy had just been singing with her the day before! You should have seen the motions! Anyway, I thought....oh my, Bryant never got 'bad' reports before....this is not good! Then, I got defensive, because I thought, just separate her then....because she will sing for hours.....put her in the bathroom away from the others....she's 2!!! I've been trying to "reason" with her about being considerate while others are sleeping and putting her finger over your mouth while lying on the mat, but it doesn't seem to be working. I told the teachers to punish her...but one of the teachers said, "Stacy, when she starts hitting, biting, or pushing, we'll call you, but she's fine!" Not sure the other teacher seemed to think it was so fine though. I even called my mother and asked for advice. She laughed and said she is "So Her Mother!".
So, last night (still struggling about how to tackle this little issue) I laid down with my children for 'devo' time and guess what? God gave me clarity and direction while I was supposed to be teaching my kiddos, God was using the opportunity to teach me a thing or two! From Galatians 5:22-23, the fruits of the spirit. Our pastor Chip preached a wonderful sermon on this Sunday and as Bryant was reciting the fruits to me, it hit me ~~ self-control! That's it! Mary Grace needed to learn self control! I want her to imitate Christ, even as a 2 year old. Now, how do I teach my spunky little 2 year old self control.....?
Wonderful Moms out there...help!
This may be an on-going project for a long time to come! But God has made such a special little girl and I know "He who began a good work in her, will see it to the end"....

The Girls at the Party

Mary Grace had the best time at the party just blowing bubbles.

Happy Birthday Bryant

Well, today is Bryant's 5th Birthday!!! He was born at 9:30pm on March 8, 2003 in Galveston, Texas.

What a special day it has been! He has milked it for all it is worth, too....I need to sleep with ya'll b/c it's MY birthday, I need to sit there b/c it's MY birthday, I want to go get chicken 'n biscuit b/c it's MY birthday, I get to stay up late b/c it's MY birthday!! Too Funny!
I know many parents think their kid is great, but I have to say, this morning as I was praising God for this little boy (that I had prayed for, for SO LONG), I was so overwhelmed with how thankful I am for his CREATOR, and it's not me! God made such a special little man, one who has a heart of gold, LOVES his Daddy, protects his little sister, still cuddles with his Momma ( and tells me he loves me 30 times a day, at least), is teased by Savannah Jory, is smart as a whip, loves baseball & riding his bike, and one who is beginning to love the Lord and diving into His word every night. As I watch Bryant grow, my heart is so full! I am so proud of who he is becoming as a young man. Some little girl out there is going to be so blessed to have him one day! He is so special!!

Thank you God for Bryant Seago!

We were supposed to have a swimming/Star Wars theme (which he fell in love with at Disney World) birthday party at Momese (David's mom)'s house. Instead, a winter storm hit last night with snow and sleet, so we had to make an alternate plan. Rosemary and I came up with lots of games and prizes for the kids! We even had Star Wars music in the background. The games were played in the playroom upstairs, then we all headed downstairs for pizza. Bryant blew out his candles, then many of them dove into the "heated" hot tub. We then made smores by the fire pit.

What a full day....but oh, so fun! Bryant looked at me during the party and said, "Momma, this is the best party...ALL my friends are here!!" He had a blast !

A special thanks to Savannah and GiGi who drove in for the day just for Bryant Seago ~ she says he's handsome - even with the mask on! (thanks Nea Nea, he absolutely loves it!!)

Race in Seaside

We just returned from the beautiful Seaside, Florida where us and a few friends (26 to be exact from our area) ran in the half-marathon.  I don't have pictures from the race yet, but when I get them, I'll post them.   It was much warmer - @80 degrees, than we were used to (40's).  My running partner never left me~ what a precious friend Christy Burchfield is in my life!  Total God sent!!   I began telling her at mile 7 that I felt nauseated, but we kept on truckn' it with around a 9 min. and under pace.  Then at mile 10, my knees buckled and I felt faint, but was determined NOT to quit!  I began praying - big time.  The heat was knocking me off my feet!   At mile 11-12, I knew if my legs stopped moving I would pass out and hit the concrete, the thoughts of my children kept coming to my mind and I thought I have to get to the finish line!!  I began praying that God would get me there...preferably safely!   So I get about 200 yards from the finish line, (which I don't remember the last mile or so - pretty much  a blur)  and Leah Cox, from here, sees me and says "STacy's in trouble!"  SHe said I was pale and looked disoriented.  She and another guy from Pinelake ran out to grab me and help me over the finish line.  Needless to say, I  collapsed right over the finish line as my chip beeped!  I was rushed to the Medical Tent....made a huge scene....but recovered and made it through!!  Wow, what a trip that was!   We did our best time so far in little over 2 hours.
God is so faithful and here below are some pics from the weekend and the cute little house where we stayed (for free) and riding bikes all over Seaside.
"What doesn't kill you, will make you stronger!"  ~or so they say!!!!
Beautiful Seaside, FloridaOur men in the sand....just chilln'
After the race we decided it was time for some R & R. Below is Sha & Brandon....Toby & Christy's friends from Cleveland.

Grandparent's Day

Bryant giving Momese a BIG hug for coming to Grandparent's Day!

This past Friday we had "Grandparent's Day" at PCS. My parents, Nanney, and Rosemary came and it was so special. I helped greet at the front door, so I was able to sneak some pics. (no parents were aloud) I feel so blessed that Bryant has so much love from ALL grandparents, and even 'great' grandmothers. I snuck this pic from the door outside.

I ran into Mary Bratton's room and grabbed a picture of her and TaTa.

Birthdays Birthdays Everywhere

We have been in birthday party mode lately! Most of our dear friends' birthdays all fall around the same time. Happy Birthday to Will, Sarah Grace, Brelye, Max, and Mary Bratton ( I didn't have my camera for MB's and I'll have to get the pics from Renee)

If you can't beat 'em ~ Join 'em

Okay....so I have given in!  I have held off as I long as I think I possibly could and now we have embarked on "extra curricular" activities.  I just wanted to keep my babies home in the afternoons as long as possible.....without running the roads.  I knew our time would come to taxi to and fro, and now that Bryant is almost 5 ~ our time has come.  David thought he would enjoy this baseball 'camp' for 6 weeks before t-ball starts in the spring, so we go every Monday for an hour and guess what? Bryant LOVES it!!  There is no tball stand, only  coach pitch and he has done great, and is youngest in the group.  David has worked out his schedule to come join us and  Mary Grace cheers him on from the side lines..."GOOOO BUBBAAAAA!"  It is such a blessing to see Bryant doing something he really loves.   So here we go,  I have now thought about dance or gymnastics for MG, and David thinks it would be hilarious to see Mary Grace at a dance recital in a tutu!   What do you think??

Valentine's Day

I don't know of anything so precious in all my Valentines....

My 4 year old (who by the way does NOT like to color, only build and tear down things, the little girl sitting next to him in class calls him"Scribble Scrabble") had made me this and hid it under his bed for a week! He then surprised me this morning and said..."Momma, I made it purple because that's your favorite color!" Words can not describe.....my cup runneth over!!
Happy Valentine's Day!!!
