Well, I second the question that Jeanine asked about .... Lazy Summer Days?? And I feel you Vicki, not to the degree I'm sure of either one of you (re: # of children), but busy all the same. Our summer has been great though! We survived Bryant's week of surgery & recovery, headed to the Dental Convention in Destin and extended our trip with my family, then on to Orange Beach for the last few days. The kids did awesome!! They are at such great ages and they loved playing with Anna Claire (cousin), especially Mary Grace. We got back Sunday afternoon, got Bryant ready for camp (more to come about that), and then sent him to Twin Lakes Day Camp yesterday.
Below are pics of Bryant & Max going to camp. (8am-5pm) This was the first time Bryant has ever ridden on a Big Yellow Bus....BIG DEAL, I tell ya!! He was so excited to be in the same group with Max & Rayfe. He also knew a few others from Pinelake Christian School in other groups. His counselor is from Africa, here for a Mission Trip for the summer. What a blessing to have him! He never took his eyes off the boys! So in tuned to them, making them laugh & getting to know each one. David and I had prayed that Bryant would have a counselor who loved Jesus and would show that love to him all week....and low and behold he gets a missionary! Pretty cool, huh?
Bryant had a great 1st day and told us all about it at dinner: rock climbing, riflery, archery, bible story @ Abraham & Isaac (where the counselors left the story hanging at the top of the mountain: Abraham with Isaac tied up to sacrifice his son....What will he do??) He even tried something NEW for lunch & actually liked it. Who said peer pressure is bad? He taught us a new song too....."Boom Chick a Like a, Chick a like a, Chick a Boom!" Even Mary Grace sang it all night!
One thing I know.....camp is great for a good night's sleep!!
Anyway, Bryant swims today and rides horses & bikes. He woke up ready to go strong again today! I can even see pics of him online!
Max & Bryant ready for camp! (And yes, I was SO That Mom! I took lots of pics...I felt like it was his first day of school or something!)
Bryant with his group (Rayfe with the blonde hair is his big buddy from PCS).

You are too funny. I worked at TL for 2 summers... great great place to start off summers of camp!!! Is he going to spend the night on Thursday? It is so much fun for them to get a taste of what the overnight experience is like!
Hannah always LOVED Twin Lakes...especially Thursday nights!! Her only complaint was HAPPY HILL.. Has Bryant told you about Happy Hill??
Really enjoyed lunch yesterday. Thank y'all for being so sweet to do things like that. MG is such a doll!
Sorry to disappoint...but Bryant is not spending the night tonight. Maybe next year, I think he would have, but I didn't push it and his buddy Max wasn't going to. He has PIrates' weekend to look forward to with his DAddy~ big time sleep over ALL weekend in the big Silver Bullet!
