"The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has annointed me to bring good news to the afflicted, He has sent me to bind up the broken-hearted, to proclaim the favorable year of the Lord. And the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn, to grant those who mourn in Zion, giving them a "GARLAND INSTEAD OF ASHES", oil of gladness instead of mourning, the mantle of praise instead of a spirit of fainting. So they will be called oaks of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that HE MAY BE GLORIFIED!!!!"
What a blessing the night was! God is so faithful! I was sooo in AWE of Him and so thankful that I was a part of His plan~Wow, would I have missed a HUGE blessing! There were manicures, pedicures, hair stylists, Avon, Mary Kay, BeautiControl, SpaGirl, massages, etc. there for the women. Every single mom/military mom left with a GREAT doorprize and dinner was provided. Thank you SO MUCH to my dear friend Christy Burchfield, who took over the food portion of the night~what an angel she is in my life! So many people helped out and I am thankful for them all! I don't know who was more blessed~ the ones being served or the servers! God placed a dear friend of mine on my heart, Kimberly Browning, to speak and give her testimony and it was powerful! God is doing amazing work in her life as a single Mom. One girl has only been to a salon TWICE in her whole life~once to get gum out of her hair and another time when her husband left her and her best friend took her to get a new "do". She cried in the chair of Roxanne and expressed that she could never afford a haircut. I think we ALL cried.....
Here is a picture of a girl and the before & after:

Stacy, what an incredible ministry, and you are perfect for it! What a blessing God gave to those women through you and your team. (And to you through them, I know.)
