Happy Birthday Dave!

Happy Birthday to my Man!!! Yesterday was Dave's birthday and I am tempted to write 100 things about how wonderful he is, but as soon as I would get to 30....a little one in my house would wake up and need me. So, I'll just say he is the BEST husband, the BEST friend, the BEST father, the BEST Spiritual Leader in our home, the BEST Man I know!!! I praise God for him Daily and I know how blessed I am because of him. He is my Prince and my Knight in shining armour! It is rare when you find this kind of love and I just pray it for our children! Thank you God for my Man!

Beach

We went to the beach for a few days to get away one last time before school starts for Bryant next Friday(ughhhhh). We had a great time with Pete, Gina, Savannah, & Luke. We all felt as though we had 2 sets of twins. They loved playing together or in the case of the little ones ~ Mary Grace loved huggin on Luke. He wasn't too sure of her though. (little body...lots of personality!) We celebrated birthdays while we were down there and even had a shark cake.

What a great birthday I had....thank you Mom, Alison, Dave, and all my precious friends! I felt so special the whole entire day...I couldn't have asked for anything better! The day started out with a run with David (what a treat, we usually trade off with the kids, but we were able to run together!), then Mom, Alison, and I went to lunch at Bon Ami and shopped a little around Jackson. We then headed to have out nails and toes done at HaHi. (pic included) For dinner, we all (38 of us) went to Cock of the Walk. What fun and babies everywhere!!! That ya'll for making my day so special. God has truly blessed my life in a way I can not even fathom!

Fairy Princess

I had more fun at FAO Swartz in NYC! Mary Grace loved her "happies"...She's our little fairy! You can't see her shoes very well, but they are hilarious.....

Lakehouse fun

We had more fun at the Lakehouse today with Lee, Gina, and Anna Claire. Bryant and Anna Claire road on the tube.....They got pretty cocky and decided to stand...look at those sweet faces. They love the water!
We worked with Bryant today teaching him to ski. This was the beginner skis that David learned on in the 70's and they still work! He did great and he even went around twice on his knees. We'll work on standing next week. He was so brave!!!

Heart of Dixie weekend

Our adventure this weekend began with a little storm on Friday and a slumber party in a pop-up tent with six of us....the Burchfields and the Seagos! Leigh and Mike James were next to us with their girls, along with Shaun & Claire across from us. It was a hoot and the boys had a blast!

It was exciting to see David swim (at 6:30am) in the Lake. He did really good.
Check out David's shirt...everyone loved it! This was him getting on his bike. Running into the finish line.

Bryant and Daddy.........how proud we are of him!!

Back from NYC

What a great time we had in New York....from eating anything sweet we could find to walking down 5th Avenue, to seeing the shows ~ Les Miserables & Wicked, it was all soooo much fun! By the way, if you haven't seen Wicked, you should check it out. It is about the PRE-Wizard of Oz, about Glinda, the good witch, and the Wicked witch of the West. What a great show it was!! Mom, being the drama and music teacher at home, hooked us up with great seats and we all loved every minute of it. No cameras were aloud, so no pics, sorry! I am so thankful for my Nanney and her vision of making memories, instead of leaving "Money". We will never forget our precious trip.....Thank you Nanney!

God put some great people in my path while traveling and David and the kiddos did great! Thanks Ashley, Kelly, Momese & Pops, and Nea Nea for helping out!! I know David appreciated all of you! Here are some pics from our trip.
Rebecca, myself, and Nanney after eating those delicious cupcakes at Magnolia Bakery..."Sex and the City" made them famous! Thanks for my friend, Jennifer O'Donnell, we found out lots of "local" yummies!!!
Here we are for brunch....the rest of our crew went on a city tour, so mom and I had a mom & daughter day for brunch and shopping. So much fun!! We even went into an apt. open house. We had always wanted to see what one looked like and it was TINY! ($1500/month for 400 sq.ft)

Nanney and I on the top of the Empire State Building. The site of the city at was beautiful at night, but tooooo many people. The Top of the Rock (Rockefeller Plaza) was much better!!
Mom, myself, and Rebecca eating a famous "Frozen Hot Chocolate" from Serendipity. This was JFK Jr.'s favorite place for dessert.

The Top of Rockefeller Plaza....just beautiful! (where NBS is)

New York

So I'm getting ready to leave for New York City in 2 days and I'm a little apprehensive about leaving my family. The women in my family take a little trip every year (thanks to my Nanney) and I have not attended the last 2 years...they went to Gatlinburg two years ago and I was pregnant and Charleston, SC last year and MG was only 8 months old and I didn't want to be gone that long. So this year, I decided to go since Mary Grace will be 2 in Oct. and Bryant is 4 (4 1/2 he likes to say!). Still, the agony of leaving them AND David just gets me. Before children, I went on these trips every year...and loved every minute of it. I guess people are right when they say "Things really do change when you have children." And for me ~ I started wearing my heart on the outside of my body! Please pray for them and me as I prepare for this trip. I know sweet memories will be built, but it is difficult when your heart is at home.

Check out my Slide Show!

Lunch with Friends & Fam

I just had to blog this picture of MG lovin' on Andrew. Renee took it for us when we were eating at Stix and it just shows how much Mary Grace loves her some Andrew! She always walks up to his chair and gives a sweet grin and waves...."Hi Andoooo!" She always gives him kisses, too! It is such a precious sight. She just has something for him!

Here is Bryant with Peyton and KaKa. (Timothy is on the far end...) He loves these guys and want to be with them all the time! They are really sweet with him and always include him in everything they are doing....they never make him feel 'younger'.

Mary Bratton and Mary Grace had the same alligator dress on that day for church~Nea Nea and I didn't even plan it either! What sweet girls they are!

Cookout

Last night, David and I had my disciplineship group over (minus Meghan & Paige) for a cookout. From left was Claudia (our leader), Cassie Hall, Amanda Wright (who is pregnant with twins!!), MG & myself, Chrissie Grantham, and Brandy Hester. We had a great time catching up due to the busyness of the summer. All eight kiddos had a blast also...more pictures to come with them. I believe Bryant has the hots for Brandy's little girl, Henley. They were doing a little cuddling on the couch upstairs while watching Veggie Tales!!

4th of July

Here we ALL are for the 4th of July. We had a blast out at the Lakehouse with the WHOLE clan (plus the Dulskes). The kids really had a great time on the tube and we even participated in the boat parade. Uncle Lee & Aunt Gina brought out their swimming pool plus their blow up jumpy thing...needless to say they all had a blast! Mike Dulske had a fireworks show for us on the pier and I will say it was pretty impressive. It is fun to build family memories for our children.

Happy 3-0!!

Last Friday night our small group got together to celebrate Christie Abercrombie's 30th birthday at the MS Braves game. We all had started out in these great seats, but one by one (with little ones in tow) we headed out to the outfield to sit on the grass and let the kiddos play. There were even fireworks at the end! We had a great time.

Mary Grace and her buddy, Camp Segrest.

Mary Grace put up her arms to MK and wanted some lovin' and comfort during the fireworks. Look and MK's face....priceless! Maybe that's a sign....that the sweet little baby growing inside her belly is a girl! She finds out on my birthday...July 23rd!

Camp and Mary Grace weren't too crazy about the fireworks, check out the pacifers and big bear hugs!
